As CEO of Fashion Design Concepts (FDC), Samanta Cortes specializes in guiding designers and manufacturers in the creation and development of embroidered, embellished and beaded prototypes. A respected researcher and trendsetter, Samanta shares her international research in the form of embroidery and embellishment seminars, reports and embroidery immersion workshops offered to industry events, trade shows and universities. Recognizing a need in the industry for trained professionals, new educational standards and exposure to cutting-edge industry equipment and software, Samanta’s newest venture is TX Institute, The Technical Textile Training Institute in New York City. Unprecedented in the industry, TX Institute provides overviews, specialized training and resources in textile machinery, textile crafts and related fields, providing creative and career opportunities and training to students, professionals, entrepreneurs, small businesses and corporations.
Committed to bringing manufacturing back to NYC, Samanta is Founder and Board Member of SaveTheGarmentCenter.com, a coalition of business owners and advocates raising awareness of the threat gentrification poses on the garment center. By organizing Pin Day and Pin Week, Samanta brought attention to purpose of SaveTheGarmentCenter.com at fashion events, runway shows and throughout the industry. Former associations include: President, Fashion News Workshop; Board member, Color Association of the US; and Creative Consultant, Schmatta; Rag to Riches to Rags, an HBO documentary. Speaking engagements include: DIRECTION, Direction by Indigo, Premiere Vision Preview NY, Fashion Institute of Technology, Fashion Law Boot Camp at Fordham Law School. Samanta has been featured in WWD, Stitches, Chelsea Now and The New York Times for her concepts, leadership and achievements in the textile, fashion and design industries.

As the global fashion director of women’s and men’s apparel for Invista (formerly DuPont), Roseann Forde researched trends at retail and attended runway shows and fabric fairs on both sides of the Atlantic. Every spring and fall, major color, fabric and silhouette forecasts were developed and presented by Roseann to the apparel, home and retail trades throughout the U.S. and Canada. In addition, she has worked with textile mills to assist them in the development of new fabrics and color palettes.
Roseann has served as chairperson of the women’s wear committee of Color Association of the United States and remains a member of this prestigious panel as well as the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association. She has been an advisory board member of American Color & Trends and the textile department of the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she taught color analysis as an adjunct professor.
Roseann was also the recipient of F.I.T.’s alumni star award. In addition, she had the honor of being the first American to be named to the Premiere Vision color council.
She is a member of Fashion News Workshop and a former president of the Round Table of Fashion Executives.
Roseann’s colors are the official palette of the Directionshow held in New York three times a year. She has given seminars at Directionshow, Print Source, IFFE and AAFA and is often quoted in WWD, DNR, and Sportswear International. In addition, she has made several t.v. appearances in the U.S. and Canada.
Roseann has acted in an advisory capacity to the National Football League, the automotive industry and to major retailers and apparel manufacturers throughout the country.
Sheri is Co-Founder and Chief Strategist of MSLK, a marketing and design agency based in New York.

Sheri has worked with clients such as Aveda, Chanel, Loro Piana, L’Oreal, Ralph Lauren, Sephora, Tumi, and Victoria’s Secret. She is frequent writer and lecturer on design matters, and her work has received recognition from the AIGA – the Professional Association for Design, The US Congress and The Webby Awards.
Born in Toronto, Lawrence Pizzi eventually traveled to Milan to become a Tailor at the renowned “Marangoni”, after which he worked for several major fashion houses world wide, including Armani Collezioni & Calvin Klein. In 1998, his Haute Couture Collection was launched and worn by DIVAs world wide, Patti LaBelle & Liane Foly to name a few. On Sept 11th, 1999, Lawrence launched his Ready-To-Wear collection, sold worldwide in high-end boutiques: Joyce Hong Kong, Colette Paris. Both labels where worn on TV, Stage, and in private by his elite clients. Sept 11th, 2001, the falling of the towers, also brought Lawrence’s two labels to a complete stop. But, never being defeated, Mr Pizzi picked up the pieces and is back, offering luxury garments that are smart and fun to wear for both woman and now also for men. Lawrence Pizzi has mastered Bringing a New York sensibility to his sexy Italian tailoring. His love for life is shown in the details of each garment that he designs.
